ILUITEQ Create Rich Ambient Tracks from Unlikely Elements
Ambient project ILUITEQ from Italian electronic music veterans Sergio Calzoni and Andrea Bellucci blends synths with electric guitar, acoustic piano and field recordings to create emotionally captivating soundscapes.

Their newest tune In Danger is a post-trance record making use of heavily processed overdriven guitars and pulsing bass to create a rich sonic painting that feels paradoxically serene and anxious at the same time.

ILUITEQ
"In Danger" was the first track of our new, upcoming album in which the idea came naturally to develop more rhythmic elements than our previous works. So we pitch-shifted and filtered a drum loop and built ethereal pad textures with Serum. We also recorded a few elementary vocal lines with our voices, heavily auto-tuned (!!!), and then imported in Grain Scanner, a cool granular synth that works with Ableton Live. The track also features some heavily processed guitar parts (that sound like a synthesizer) and our unmissable Access Virus synth, which we used for the saturated lead line in the final part of the song.

The track and the album are loosely inspired by the book "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy, in which human beings are overwhelmed by an ordeal that ultimately changes their lives. Events that suddenly interrupt the "ordinary movements" of life in a new, unpredictable, and often dangerous way. We also developed a video clip to expand and enhance the theme of the track.
