ERICKOSCAR is the project of Erick Rivera, a songwriter born in Panama and based in the United States. He has spent more than 35 years playing acoustic guitar with his church's worship band and writes in both English and Spanish. His single "There's A Place For You" was released on November 5 as part of a three-song Christmas release of the same name. The song asks listeners to make room for people who are struggling during the holidays and to offer them company and care.
“There Is a Place for You” is one of those songs you can easily imagine being sung by an entire church, a packed stadium, or a room full of people holding hands. Except the song already has that whole crowd built into it. There's a huge, powerful male vocal, a gloriously uplifting arrangement, and when the four-on-the-floor kick comes in, resistance becomes pretty much impossible. You just want to sing along, grab whoever's standing next to you, and become part of some giant collective organism. And then the children's choir joins in, and — oh my God... Don't be surprised if you find yourself shedding a tear or two.
