Rival Consoles – Catherine

For fans of Bicep and Ross From Friends, Rival Consoles comes back with a jam – moody, fragmentary and immensely satisfying, like memories of the best rave in your life. Calming layers of textural synths are the musical equivalent of Whistler's landscapes, and the drums are as crisp as ever. Enjoy!

The Slashes — War Candy

"War Candy" is sure to appeal equally to fans of 80s gothic postpunk and 2000s dirty indie rock, especially Interpol and The Strokes. The similarity to the latter lies in the sad, highly melodic hooks and simple but deadly effective bass and guitar parts.

The band views "War Candy" as "the silver screen to project an imaginary war film whose celluloid never saw the light of day-or it's the dreamy documentary of our own wanton desires". The melodies and vocals on the song as beautiful as this description.

Walter The Producer — Roadtrip

The exciting new track from Walter The Producer is both funky and groovy and atmospheric. No wonder it was inspired by the artist listening to a lot of rock (hence the infectious groove and the crazy guitar solo that ends the song) and playing with a new delay pedal (the unit is most likely responsible for the atmosphere).

The song is warm and sunny like the best summer in your life. And it also... ends abruptly, like all summers do!
